Immerse yourself in the Middle Ages thanks to the Battle of the Bridge (Gioco del Ponto)in which two teams compete as they wold have done in Medieval times (dressed in appropriate attire). The venue is Ponte di Mezzo in June. In June, torches and candles create a canopy of lights on the evening of the Luminaria. The Regatta of the Four Ancient Maritime Republics, Pisa, Venice, Amalfi and Genoa, gathers teams representing each republic to compete in a race after a colourful boat procession.
