How to Get to/from

By boat: there are boats from Viareggio, Marina di Pisa, Forte dei Marmi, Marina di Carrara and Marina di Massa to seaside towns in Liguria from June to September (Consorzio Marittimo Turistico: tel. 0187 73 29 87; Via Minzoni 13-La Spezia).

By bus: offices and departing points to towns in Tuscany are located on Piazza d’Azeglio served by Lazzi (tel. 0584 4 62 34) and CLAP (tel. 0584 3 09 96). To Florence (duration: 1 ½ hours, services: 7 a day).
To Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi (regular services). To Lucca (services: 12 a day), to Massa (services: from 3 to 6 a day). To Milan (services: from June to September).

By train: to Livorno (duration: 1 hour), to Pisa (duration: 20 minutes), to La Spezzia calling at Via Massa and Carrara (duration: 1 hour). A few Eurostar Italia services serve Rome, Genoa, Turin and Milan. Some of them are fast services.
