Roselle ‘s history dates back to the 7th century BC as an Etruscan settlement which was taken ten centuries later by the Romans.
At present there is no large monument yet its historic site is still worth visiting (tel. 0564 40 30 67). Here the walls built by the Romans, an eliptical shaped amphitheatre, vestiges of houses, the forum and ancient streets are certainly an interesting sight. There are also vestiges of a village dating from the Middle Ages.
