What to See and Do

The Fortezza Spagnola (tel. 0564 81 06081; Piazza del Governatore), which offers a fabulous vantage point to observe the town, also showcases some archaeological objects found in the sea and a display explaining the construction of boats.
Head for Via Panoramica for a great view of the sea which extends as far as the Isola del Giglio. Driving to Convento dei Frati Passionisti provides even more scenic views to admire.

Lovely pebble beaches also surround Porto Santo Stefano.
