Enoteca
la Fortezza di Montalcino (tel. 0577 84 92 11 Piazzale Fortezza) is
housed in the Fortress of Montalcino. Brunello of course, a friendly setting
and informal tasting plus yummy nibbles make it the place to
enjoy a real wine-tasting experience.
Café Fiaschetteria at Piazza del Popolo 6 is where locals gather for a good glass of wine.

Logge di Piazza (closed Wed Jan and Sep-Mar; Piazza del Popolo 1)
offers a light menu which is fixed but an a la carte wine list. From
7pm to 9pm there is a Happy Hour!
Bar Circolo Arci at Via
Ricasoli 2 is an enoteca where you can play snooker over a good glass
of your favourite drink or sit in the sunshine in the cobbled courtyard.
Boccon DiVino has a rustic style to match its farmhouse setting. The modern furniture combines to give it a stylish look. Local dishes and wines are served. In July and August it is only open for dinner (tel. 0577 848233; www.emmeti.it/boccondivino; località Colombaio Tozzi; closed Tue).
Well-known Il Giglio opens only in the evenings but capitvates all diners with its homemade dishes and local wines. it is small with a casual rural style (tel. 0577 848167; www.gigliohotel.com; Via Soccorso Saloni 5; closed 7th-31st and Tue).
